GA Milestones Parent Information Session

Parents/Attendees will recieve information about the GA Milestones and will be able to ask any questions they have! If you are un able to attend the live meeting session we will also send out a recording of the testing information.

Cookies and Math with Santa!

Date of Meeting: December 15th at 5:00pm - 7:00pm
What was covered: Santa and Mrs. Claus and played math games! Math resources were avaliable for the families. 
 
 

Kroger Math Night!

When: February 28th at 5:00pm - 7:00pm
What was covered:  We had a math scavenger hunt at the Kroger in Griffin! 
 
 
 

Parent Input Meeting!

When: March 8th at 9:00 am & 4:15 pm
 
What was covered: 
Under Title I, Part A, all stakeholders must have input into the following topics/documents:
  • School Parent and Family Engagement Policy
  • School Parent Compact
  • Building Staff Capacity for Family Engagement
  • Title I Parent and Family Engagement Budget
 

Math Night with Junie B. Jones!

When: April 21st & 22nd at 7:00 pm
Where: In person at our school cafeteria
 
Parents/Attendees recieved math resources that they can use to help their students practice their math skills over the summer! If you were not able to attend and would like these resouces, please contact whitley.fowler@gscs.org.

Parents' Right to Know:

In compliance with the requirements of Every Student Succeeds Act, the Griffin-Spalding County School System would like to inform you that you may request information about the professional qualifications of your student’s teacher(s) and/or paraprofessional(s).
The following information may be requested:
 
Whether your child's teacher has met state qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction
Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualification or licensing criteria have been waived
Whether the teacher is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher.
Whether the child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
