My name is Madi Payne-English and I have the pleasure of being the theatre teacher at Beaverbrook Elementary School. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre Education in 2023 and my Master's Degree in Theatre Education in 2026 from Columbus State University.

I find my job to be the most rewarding profession. I love creating a space where students can express themselves and play different characters. We learn so much from each other, because even as teachers, we are never done learning. Seeing their creativity come to life on stage or in the classroom is the most rewarding feeling as a theatre educator. Over the past two years, we achieved many wonderful accomplishments together. We have put on two stellar musicals, a Christmas concert, puppet shows, participated in Elementary Honors Chorus, and placed third in Literacy Days. While I am proud of myself for pulling off these fabulous accomplishments, I am more proud of my students. Their determination, their drive, and passion for the arts is truly inspiring to me. Everyday I challenge them to be the best they can be and they are challenging me everyday to be the best educator I can be for them.

Our school musical will take place in the spring. Tickets will be $5 at the door. If you have any questions please email madison.payne@gscs.org
